INSPECTION PROCEDURES FOR
MANUFACTURED AND INDUSTRIALED HOUSING

Building permit must be posted on the site of construction and clearly visible from the road until completion of the project.

Your approved plans must be available at time of inspections. These are the “Approved” plans signed off on by Somerset County Building Inspections, LLC.

MINIMUM OF 24 HOUR ADVANCE NOTICE IS REQUIRED TO OUR OFFICE AT 814-445-8133

1. Footing Inspection –To be done after forming footer, but prior to pouring of concrete.
• (Superior Walls – After excavation, but prior to placing shale)
  
  
2. Foundation Inspection – French drain and water proofing prior to backfilling.
   
   
3. Anchoring of structure to foundation.
   
   
4. Electrical Inspection – Rough-in to be done prior to insulating.
   
   
5. Plumbing connections
   
   
6. Final Inspection – When job is completely finished, including steps and/or deck construction.

Inspections 3, 4, and 5 may all be done at the same time

CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY WILL BE ISSUED AFTER ALL INSPECTIONS ARE APPROVED
